Comment Policy

This BlogEx is intended to generage comments from government, business, and private citizens.  We encourage your comments.

How to leave a comment: At the bottom of each post there, you’ll see the word “comment” that might also include “No Comments” or “3 Comments.” Click on that and then enter your comment in the “Reply” box.  It’s a little hard to find, but please take the effort.

Because of the nature of the internet, websites, and blogs, we need to have a comment policy and provide it to you.  We’ve decided to use the same comment policy that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) used during their blog exercise last year.

The purpose of this blog is to discuss preparation for a potential flu pandemic. We encourage your comments; your ideas and concerns are important to ensure that Americans are prepared for a pandemic influenza.

This is a moderated blog. We expect that summit participants will treat each other with respect. All comments will be reviewed before posting. We will not post comments that contain personal attacks of any kind; offensive terms that target specific ethnic or racial groups; or vulgar language. We will not post comments that are spam, are clearly off topic or that promote services or products. Comments that make unsupported accusations will also not be posted.

While we will make our best effort to post those comments that do not violate the Comment Policy immediately, there are instances where it may take several hours for comments to appear.

If people think that high gas prices changed their lives, it does not compare to the impact a flu pandemic would have on their lives. This is my first time using a blog, so I am excited to be participating in this exercise.
